MARES & FILLIES
N.V. Masira (Bey Shah+ x Shantu+)
(Note: After experiencing
several difficult years due to founder, our beloved Masira softly
whispered her last good-bye to us on November 8, at 8 a.m., in 2007.
She leaves a large empty spot in our hearts. During her
last years, she would regularly, and on her good days, be seen
roaming freely about the farm, grazing wherever she chose - our
Queen. In spite of her lameness, she would often be found,
standing in front of one of the stallions' stalls expressing her
desire to have one more baby, as impossible as this would have been
for her - in our view. We know that these marvelous beings can
dwell with us for only a few short years, and that we must strive to
do the best we possibly can by them. We can only hope, Masira,
that we have achieved this with you, even though we feel
reassured of this when we look at the beautiful babies by Amurath
Baikal and Afire Bey V that you have entrusted to us.)
1982 Chestnut Purebred Arabian Mare
We are very proud of our Bey Shah+ daughter, N.V. Masira.
Masira's dam Shantu+, is a US Top Ten English Pleasure horse.
An extremely accomplished show mare herself and an outstanding
producer. N.V. Masira is a Canadian National Top Ten Halter Champion (at age 3!), Star World Reserve Champion
Mare, Region 13 Champion and Region 18 Reserve Champion Mare. She is also a multi Champion English Pleasure Horse. Masira is a full sister to Bey Maraba - US and Canadian
National Top Ten Mare.
Masira has had eight fillies and two colts for us. Her life
long partner has been Amurath Baikal
with the exception of the year 2000 when she was bred to Afire Bey V. The
resulting filly, Hearts Afire RF has been shown once as a yearling and was
Eastern Canadian Breeders Champion Purebred Yearling Filly. Three of
Masira's Amurath Baikal daughters have been
shown: Simply The Best - Region 16 and East Coast Champion Mare, Region 18 Top Five Mare; Simply Irrisistable
- Champion Mare, AOTH Tulip Arabian Horse Festival (only time shown); and Silent Wings - 1998 Region 15 Top Ten
Yearling Sweepstakes Champion (32 fillies in the class) and Junior Champion Yearling Filly, NY Summer Festival.
In 1998 Masira presented us with her first colt. He
is Earl Grey - 2001 US National Top Ten Futurity Colt and 2004 Region 18
Champion Stallion.
Masira's last baby to foal was a wonderful bay Amurath Baikal filly in
2004. Her name is China RF and she now makes her home with Gisela and
Walter Mantler of Wheatley, Ontario.
Masira has more than earned her retirement here at
Rideaufield. In the summer months she is the "Queen of the Land" and has
the freedom to come ands go anywhere she wants on the farm. We treasure
her son Earl Grey and her daughters.

Simply The Best (Amurath Baikal x NV
Masira) 1994 Bay Purebred Arabian Mare
She is aptly named...Simply The Best. From the moment she was born,
she was beautiful both in mind and body. A beautiful face with huge soft
eyes, a lovely long shapely neck, very refined through the body and the
legs and a 'tail up over the back' attitude. Simply is the favourite
of most farm visitors.
In the show ring Simply has excelled. Region 16 Top Five Yearling
Sweepstakes Champion - then Region 16 Champion Mare at age 3 and
East Coast Champion Mare at age 4. In 2004 at age 10, Simply
returned to showing and was named Supreme Champion Arabian at the Tulip
Arabian Festival. In the words of the judge: "this horse epitomizes what
to me is the true Arabian mare."
Simply has been on breeding lease for two years to Shea
Stables of St. Clair, MI. She has produced for them a 2001 Padrons
Psyche filly and a 2003 Afire Bey V (who is outstanding!) She has
also produced an outstanding colt in 2005 by our own Xceptshahn.
This young fellow, Xceptshahnal Call RF is now in Nova Scotia with the
Braithwaites with plans for him as a show horse and breeding stallion.
From a wonderful show horse to a wonderful mother, to a wonderful
riding companion on the trails, she really is Simply The Best!
Simply The Best foaled a beautiful Pomerol daughter,
"Simply Unique" ("Nikki") in 2006. Future plans
include a breeding again to Afire Bey V.

Hearts Afire RF
(Afire Bey V x NV Masira) 2001 Chestnut Purebred
Arabian Mare
NV Masira’s lifelong breeding partner has been Amurath Baikal. The
one exception is when she was bred to Afire Bey V to produce her
daughter Hearts Afire RF. This lovely filly has been shown once as a
yearling and was named Eastern Canadian Breeders Champion Yearling Filly.
This athletic mare will have a show career ahead of her as a Country
English Pleasure horse. A glimpse of this coming greatness was seen in
August of 2006 when, her first time out under saddle, and beautifully
presented by Leslie Lloyd, she placed first in one class and second in
another, at a Dressage Schooling Show at the Clark's Starlit Farm near
Richmond, Ontario. In 2007 she produced a colt by National
English Pleasure and Pleasure Driving Champion, A Temptation. Congratulations to
the Davidson's and the Falls' on the purchase of Hearts Afire's baby,
A Sensation RF! See Hearts Afire's

She has proven herself over and over as a brood mare of extreme merit.
At the 2004 Eastern Canadian Breeders Championships, three of Leah's

dynamite colt Colorado RF. You saw Colorado in the 2005
Yearling Sweepstakes classes shown by Classic Arabians of Delaware in
Regions 12, 15 and 16. Watch for him again in 2006.

Pretty Woman+ (Xceptshahn (x Bey Shah+) x Alia Nazada)
1999 Bay Purebred Arabian Filly
From the time she entered the show ring as a yearling, Pretty Woman+

the heels of her being named Region 16 Champion Mare both in the Open
and Amateur Division! We are thrilled to announce that Pretty Woman+

Pretty Woman+ has matured into a beautiful mare. She is
extremely tall, yet has retained her femininity. She is elegant,
athletic and is just a beautiful individual to look at. Pretty Woman

"Sprint" (registered name to be determined) by to the outstanding young stallion Baske Afire.

We are thrilled to have this beautiful Padrons Psyche daughter in
our brood mare band. Betty is long necked, with a gorgeous face and

put on all the snort and blow that one could ask for in a horse. Her
dam was a multi Champion Karadjordje daughter who was out of a Spanish
bred mare. Betty's outstanding 2003 Earl Grey colt, Clark
Gable RF, was Region 16 Top Five Yearling Colt and Eastern Canadian
Breeders Champion Yearling.
